Hi,

I was wondering if those who interviewed were offered a contract outside the match?? And if so in what fields and where??

For those of u offered were u FMGs or U.S. grads??

Just wondering if this happens for U.S. grads or just FMGs.

Myself and 2 others I know signed out of the match for anesthesia at Brigham. U.S. Osteopathic grads.

Just a note: only "Independent" applicants can be offered positions outside of the match, otherwise programs are in violation of NRMP regulations.

Independent applicants include IMGs, DOs and graduated physicians (ie, those who perhaps have already started a residency and want to switch). US 4th year medical students are NOT eligible to sign positions outside of the match.

Have u already finnished osteo. school and the internship yr??
