Quick question because honestly no one has ever told me yes or no, can D.O. students accept prematch offers for residency spots? I am wondering if thats something that I can possibly play for at my top choice as its a little community hospital that I doubt has a very high number of applications. Knowing where im going to be in november would be alot nice than having to wait till april

DO students applying for the Allopathic match are considered Independent Candidates and as such as eligible for pre-matches.

thats fantastic thanks alot. its an allopathic community IM program very near my home and as I want to be a hospitalist the fact that its not academic/linked to fellowships is irrelevant to me. heres to hoping for a prematch
