Is introduction to science writing a good premed English class? I feel it will much easy for me than poet and friction writing. But I am not sure whether they are considered English courses?
Thanks.

would depend on the med school, some schools will accept this, I'd bet some won't. (not sure how to tell, other than call 130 admissions office & hope they answer accurately -- I've heard different responses given to different applicants from the same school)

if you want to be safe, take a class or classes (my med school required 3 english classes, 2 is typical) that start with ENG as the department rather than BIO or whatever science department it is you're considering. If the course you referenced above is offered thorugh the english department, you're good.

I don't know if that counts towards your english requirements, but I would definitely suggest taking it. My school doesn't offer such a course and I really wish they did. Science writing and english writing are two completely different things and this would be a great opportunity to learn how to write cohesive scientific pieces🙂

related question:
if a medical school requires 3 quarters of English
and I've taken 2 of them freshman year
can I wait until after I've sent in my application to take the 3rd one (they don't let you take it until junior year anyways since it's upper division, and even then they fill up so fast with seniors, 5th years, athletes) or do they want it done by the time you apply
I mean I know they usually want premed reqs done by the time you apply but is it different for English since it's non science?
