This is a question that I can easily find out from the DO programs that I would like to apply to, but I figured I should ask you guys who already have been through the app process to help me out before I annoy any of them by calling. Anyways.

I just want to know if most DO programs allow you to apply before your premeds requirements are completed. I know of one DO school (can't remember) that specifically asks you to have them all done before you complete their secondaries, but I have yet to see that from any other school. Let me know if you guys applied to DO schools without having them completed. I don't want to apply, only to find out that I wasted money because I'm supposed to have prereqs all completed. By the way, I have all premeds done except for orgo+labs that I will take this coming year of my 2 year master.

Thanks in advance!

I was under the impression that every school let you apply w/o completing your prereqs (as long as you can get them done before matriculating).

i remember one school (and I think it may have been NOVA, but I am not sure, so you may want to look into this further) required that all of your pre-requistes be completed before submitting your secondary application. not 100% sure if it was NOVA or not, but i do remember that there was one school for sure that required all pre-req courses to be completed.

Yea, I found it. It's The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine that requires you to have all prereqs in by the secondary application. I didn't see any for any of the others, so if anyone else knows of any I will be sure not to apply to those any time soon.

I sure hope it's not Nova, or I wasted $50 on my secondary fee. I still need another year to finish Phy 2 and Biochem.
