HI,
I took some prep English course (Horrible in this subject) when i first started community college. Do these grades go toward my GPA? On my transcript , it doesn't show any credits earned even though i passed the classes. How does this work in AAOMAS?? thanks

anyone....what are these classifed as?

Any credit class you took at a university, college, community college, technical school needs to be on your AACOMAS.

I know they have to be on AACOMAS. But i has wondering if they counted towards my overall GPA. (i.e enc 0012) is the code for the class.

Hey...I have similar problem...and also would like an answer to this one.

I took an EMT course (a community service course at a community college) that is listed on my transcript.

It is listed as a below 100 level course...EMT 054...I don't think that I need to enter it as it is numbered below 100...but maybe I'm wrong...just afraid that it'll lower my GPA as I got a c in it.

Anyone...

I think the bottom line is that if it is a post-secondary course, it needs to be listed on the AACOMAS, regardless of the designation of the class (i.e., if it below level 100, or whatever). If you received credit and a grade for the post-secondary course, then it will count towards your GPA (unless, of course, it is a repeated course, in which case it may not be calculated into your GPA, depending on where it lies in the sequence of repeats of that course; only the last repeat of a given course is used for GPA calculation, if I remember correctly).

I don't know how they should be classified or listed. I second the suggestion to contact AACOM and ask. They sound like Pass-Fail courses, but these are usually classes that have credit, at least at my school. I am not sure at all. The only definitive way to know is to contact AACOM and ask.

It doesn't matter what the course is called. If these classes don't have credit associated with them, then they probably won't be calculated into your GPA. Again, contacting AACOM and asking is the only way to be sure.

It doesn't matter if they are below 100 level. If they are post-secondary classes, they must be listed. If you received credit and a grade for them, then they will count toward your GPA (see the "bottom line" post above for the caveat on repeats).
