preparation time for ck

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Some people advise taking a month off to study, while others take an easier elective while studying. And people who did well on Step 1 who take Step 2 after interviews or even after the match just don't study much at all. I think it just depends on what you hope to score.

I agree. I took a month off because I didn't do that great on step 1 and I think it was enough time- like everyone else says, UWORLD is pretty much all you need with a book or two to supplement your weak points. If you have a rotation that is historically a joke and gives you plenty of time, that may not be a bad route to go.

someone told me to start off with kaplan q bank then uworld so as to do as many questions as possible and stuff....i have 1 month to study for this test, should i instead just jump str8 into uworld?

any feedback on kaplan q bank vs. u world?

I'd suggest doing UW and Secrets first... then, if time permits, either the UW questions you missed OR Kaplan for areas you are weaker in.

After doing UW and a few NBMEs you'll get a better idea of what is or what is not working for you.

i know i've asked this on another thread, but do people usually take notes on questions that they got wrong? The reason i ask is because i find it extremely time consuming but if i don't take the notes, I fear that i might forget....
