Hey all,

I'm currently a senior and will be graduating in May. I plan on applying for admissions in 2009.

Anyway, my dilemma is deciding on taking the MCATs in May or in April. Since it will take over a month for scores to be received, I want to remain competitive by having my application complete as soon as possible.

I WILL take Kaplan, but that won't start till January. In the meantime, I will review material by myself. I will try and put about 2 hours a day for the next two months. I will be using the Kaplan Premiere guide.

So my questions are:

1) Is six months enough?
2) Aside from the Kaplan material, anything else I can use?
3) Do you find flashcards helpful?

Thanks for reading!

That extra month won't necessarily do anything more for your application. Getting your secondaries in as fast as possible is much more important in my opinion. If your primary goes out in June I think you'll be fine as long as your secondaries are turned in as quick as possible.

Yeah, I agree. As for six months being enough? It's a weird question...six months isn't enough for some people, whereas 6 weeks is plenty for others...It's a pretty subjective question...

Use anything that's helpful..kaplan or not kaplan. Kaplan books aren't like 100% exhaustive, i've had to look up plenty of stuff in textbooks, mainly for physics and occasionally general chem.
