Preparing CV for residency

Hi All,

I was thinking of joining some organizations and getting involved since I did not do ANYTHING during my first year. Hell, it was hard enough just passing. Would joining AMA be worth it? Would this help my CV at all? I have plenty of pubs and research so Im specifically asking about becoming an AMA member. Thanks.

Unless you become a leader at a regional or national level, being an AMA member will do nothing for your CV.

Joining the AMA during first year for a 4 year membership got me a free edition of Netter’s Anatomy Flashcards and more email spam that I could handle. I am bombed with political shtick that is totally unhinged.
