Preparing for Boards

I just finished my first year of optometry school and wanted to know how and when I should start getting organized and preparing for boards. Any thoughts and suggestions would be great.

Way too early.

There's a 3/3/3 rule: 3 months studying for part one, 3 weeks for part two, and 3 days for part three.

How to prepare? Get good grades and retain knowledge.

Off topic: I'm watching Matrix Revolutions for the first time and the sentinels are invading the Zion. Man this is intense.

I agree with Mathcod's thoughts, but I'll add, every person is different in how they learn, retain, and recall information. If you want to start creating little tabs for yourself of things that seem important, which you want to remember to revisit, you might choose to do so.

In my case, I began reviewing for N.B.E.O., I one month in advance; II, a few days in advance (and, sloppily so...); III, by practicing with fellow students a few times, and by preparing a rhythm in my mind of the official required points.
