How were you in math in the past?
If you have a strong background, the material should come back with some work.
That being said, I'm always in favor of a conservative plan in post-bacc work. There are just so few classes, you can't afford to have a bad one. Algebra is big part of chem and physics (unless calc based) so the extra work could only help.

I was always weak in math, so I actually started with Intermediate Algebra. It was a great help.....Went to the bookstore and found a Trig workbook that I studied over the break before taking trig, it helped too...
I would also recommend the book "How to Ace Calculus", read it before the semester, it made more sense during, plus used it as a supplemental text to study for the final.

I was awesome in math in high school, but my last math class was my sophomore year which was over 10 years ago. I actually tested into an accelerated "intro to algebra II" which has served as a fantastic reminder for me and brought everything back for me. So I'm getting an easy A in the class, enjoying the refresher, and certainly preparing the way for stats (bleh) and calc..

Math and I have a love/hate relationship...i love the challenge of it...i love the way it works...the preciseness of it...the finite and infinity of it...but I hate learning it...
I went back to school this year...took Biol I and Pre.Calc...why? because i didn't think about my love/hate relationship with math...I graduated with a BBA in 2000...my math classes/foundation is well over 10 years old...the result...i ended up having to get an administrative withdrawal because the professor SUCKED...had it not been for the W...my final grade would have been a D...i saved my 4.0 gpa...that semester...
for the spring semester, i took the second half of Biol and Pre.Calc again...what happened? I don't know...I studied...understood it...did the homework...studied some more...and still got a D on every single test...i don't know what i got on the final...but i think i failed it too even with the 34 bonus points this professor gave us just for writing our name, id #, and date on the answer sheet...i ended up with a D in it again!...and dropped my post-bacc GPA to a 3.1!!!!
so what am i gonna do now?...take college algebra and trigonometry over the summer...ace them!
...and then retake Pre.Calc in the Fall and ace it...what should have I done and what is my suggestion to you: take college algrebra in the fall, take trigonometry in the spring...and then and only then take pre-calc the following fall and calc I the following spring... and print out this thread (http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=732631) and refer to it daily (that's what I'm gonna do)...
