Any tips on how to prepare and get yourself ready for medical school once you have been accepted?

For those who are already in medical school or beyond: was there any advice you wish you were given before matriculation at medical school?

EDIT: Not academically

Celebrate!
Get a good living situation, learn to cook and pick up/improve your Spanish.

Honestly, I've just been told to relax and enjoy the time off. There really is nothing that we can do now that will actually help us as MS1's.

I am definitely going to live it up!

I should rephrase my question since I don't mean preparing academically.

Someone told me to read big robbins, but I think that doesn't make sense. Plus I won't remember until then. So I'll just relax and plan for the ultimate summer vacation.

I bet that person was joking. Either that or they are a chump. Maybe even a chump that was joking. Don't read big R.

Chill and enjoy yourself. Personally, I'm traveling to Asia this summer.

I think it was @NickNaylor or someone similar who said this: make your last summer before medical school the most out of it. Travel. Drink up. Hike. Explore new hobbies. Do whatever it takes to enjoy the possibly the last free time you have. And this means avoid reading anything that can "help" get yourself ahead in medical school, since in all likelihood, it won't.

Personally I'm more curious about rock climbing after examining @mimelim adventures :naughty:

Yeah I agree, especially the Spanish part. Alas, I'm only literate, so might as well work on conversation skills which are seemingly critical.
