Hi, I am currently a 3rd year medical student wishing to give my step 2 ck exam directly after finishing my 4th year. Please I need advice about the materials to study!!

uworld + uptodate + reading 1 hour/night +/- review book for each clerkship

What do people mean by "reading 1hr"? Talking about reading Step Up (or equivalent for a given clerkship) or talking about reading about your patient/tomorrow's procedures? Or 1hr+ of each?

any reading for 1 hour. the important point is that you are consistent about it, whether it's reading up on your patients from uptodate, studying for the shelf, or doing questions.

2 days in and I'm already sick of Step up. What a horrible book.

They worth getting? Trying to decide between those, MTB2 + MTB3, or something else like FA was for step 1.

Haven't looked at step up to step 2, but step up to medicine is supposed to be a necessity. It just seems like a sea of stuff I know from step 1 with a few new facts sprinkled in. For me that's an annoying thing to read.

I've looked at MTB2 and I like it better. Seems more detailed and has way more new info. I will probably use that as the FA equivalent.

step up to medicine is unnecessary. I used it, but if you have access to uptodate and uworld, that should be sufficient.
