I am currently in an SMP that I will finish in May. So far I don't have any interviews (hopefully this changes after a 4.0 semester SMP academic update)...

I wanted to prepare for the worst.. what kind of job would I be able to get or should I do.. with a B.S and an M.S. .. I guess I might as well start saving for all the loans I will be taking on.

I did well enough on my DAT and I'm not sure how much I can increase my GPA after this masters program. So a job might be my best bet... any advice?

Dental assistant, was good experience and helped with interviews. Pay isn't amazing, depends on your unique financial situation.

Tutoring!

There are plenty of jobs out there. Some better than others. Getting a job and reapplying will help add life experience to your application and make you stand out.

Look for entry level positions in industrial companies that have openings for science positions. Tutoring or teaching, as @Chipotlegonewild said, is a good idea. Becoming a dental assistant will probably help a lot in terms of applying.

Also, look for lab assistants or research assistants. There's always openings for those positions.

I am working in the pharmaceutical industry for my gap year. A lot of recent grads are competing for these openings, but it pays well for a gap year. Definitely would not suggest staying for any longer than that though, lol.

University research if you've got the skills for it.

Heavenly benefits, low pay, lots of time off.

For this, as I apply to pharmaceutical companies, did you put your dental related experiences on your resume? Would they look poorly upon someone they know will only stay? How did you swing applying without them actually knowing you are staying for a year?

I would leave out any experiences that would lead them to think that you're leaving for medical/dental/pharmacy/grad school - in my personal experience. Unless it's one experience a while ago and they ask you, you can always say you were just exploring. But if you were president of dental club, volunteered at 3 different dentist office and more dental stuff, it can get pretty obvious
