If you're like me, basically all I can think about is vet school at the moment - aka where (if) I'll get in. I just need one school to say yes and then I can calm the heck down!
Since that's out of my control at the moment, I'm looking for distractions and figured the best thing is to focus on what I can do to possibly prepare myself for vet school. Knowing how tough and rigorous it is, I figure any head start is a good one.
I asked one of the vets I work with if she recommended anything to read or do ahead of time, and the one thing she recommended was studying anatomy of cats and dogs, since they're not going to change by the time I (hopefully) get in, and I'll need to know them regardless of which school I go to. The books she recommended were Miller's Anatomy of the Dog, and the Color Atlas of Veterinary Anatomy.
Wanted to share in case anyone else needs the distraction, and curious if anyone else has any suggestions!
And yes, fully aware I'm putting the cart before the horse. Sue me
