Prereq for an interview??

Yesterday I got a message from stony brook to invite me for an interview this Thursday. When I called them today she asked me when I am taking Physcis (it wasnt on my AADSAS course work) and I told he I am in the class now. She then asked what my grade is so far and I told he the mid-term is on Wednesday and she said she would give this information to the committee and my file is on hold for now??!!

They just invited me yesterday and now I am uninvited? I am in the Physics now? I thought prereqs had to be done by the summer not by the interview?

Wow, thats really weird. Perhaps call back and clarify with them?

Yeah I would def call back and try to schedule the interview.....but that is REALLY weird.... like in along came polly where she calls and says she wants to go out and hes like "ok" and then she's all like... "ohhh i dunno if i can do it let me check my schedule".....yeah.

Yes... Not cool at all. Especially considering your academic track record (cGPA: 3.97 sGPA: 3.95).

Most schools are not this picky. Last cycle I received both interviews and acceptances without having completed all of a school's required pre-reqs.

Well, maybe they are super-picky because it's Stony Brook and only 4 OOS make it there at the end.

But, its cancelling the interview because of a course that wasn't even listed on the application makes no sense to me.

Perhaps they found a better OOS applicant and were looking for a reason to take away your interview spot? j/k.

Thanks Bruin lol... Yea I think its kinda weird. I tried to call back to figure out whats going on but there was no answer.

I agree Hysteria-- I have a few interviews already and none of the other places had a problem with being in the class now. Maryland asked me about it but when I told them I was in in now they were fine and granted me an interview.
