Hopefully this isn't a dumb questions. I've searched around a bit looking for answers, but I was wondering if pharm schools except all your prereqs to be done before applying. I will not be taking physics II or microbio until the spring but was hoping to apply for 2008. I'm not sure this is possible though.

Also, while I have a 3.9 GPA, I have next to no extracurriculars because I've been working throughout college (waiting tables, nothing that will help me out much in the application process) and I'm really nervous this will hurt me greatly. I'm planning on starting Big Brothers Big Sisters in the coming weeks and am trying to line up a job in a pharmacy. Is it ok to put these on an application as plans I have for the next year? Because by the time I will be entering pharm school I would have been doing them about a year, but depending on when I send out my applications I will not have been participating very long and I don't want this to look bad. Thanks for any help.

As long as you finish all the pre-reqs by the spring of the year before you enter, that's fine. Some schools will accept the summer before, but not many. I wouldn't put the pharmacy job on your application until you are certain you have one, otherwise you would be lying about having one even if you are actively looking for one. But putting the Big Brother's is fine.

You can apply without finishing the pre-reqs. However, I do not think you should put extracurricular activities that you are currently not involved with. For these activities, you will have to list a specific date and since you're not involved with them just yet, you should not put them on. I think you should hold these off for your personal statment or supplemental application if you start them by then or just save it for something to discuss in your interview.

Just to clarify, I'm not planning to put down extracurriculars until I actually start them, but am I better off submitting an application very soon for rolling admissions, or delaying it a few months until I am able to put these extracurriculars down and write about them in a personal essay?

Do schools consider against you if you have not completed orgo1 and other pre reqs, if I am applying for ED?? I listed in my app that I should be done by all of the courses before I start their school, but does that make me less competitive??

I put on my app under jobs that I am currently looking for a job as a pharm tech, and that if I did not have one within a month I was intending to volunteer at a hospital.

Consequently, I sent it last night and I got a call this morning for an interview!
