I realize that I posed this same question about a year ago and that it's been asked a million times in this forum, but several life factors have changed. I'll do my best to be concise.

I'm 25, been out of school for almost 2 years now. I want to pursue an MD, but I'm not caught up in doing it at a top school.

I'm taking my lower level prereqs at my local cc because it's cheaper and unfortunately all I can afford without going into more debt. I could probably swing classes at a 4 year, but having to help my family out so much financially doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room.

I realize that ccs are viewed as less competitive, hence why I'm working hard to ace all of them, esp since my undergrad gpa is barely competitive. If I take a few upper division science courses at my local university, will my courses at the cc still be an issue?

Your plan is just fine. Doing well is more important than where you do it.
