I have been bumped from my last prereq as I am a continuing ed. student at a major university and am a low priority in the registrar's eyes. I have no other avenue to get my class finished before the end of the summer. Will I be disqualified from apps process if I were to take this class during the fall semester. Would I have to wait until those grades are published until I could submit my app?

mcandy,
No, you won't be disqualified because of a missing prereq. When you fill out your initial application (AACOMAS) you are asked to put in each of the courses you have completed OR will complete before beginning school. You just have to complete all your prereqs prior to matriculation and you will likely be given a conditional acceptance (meaning that you have been accepted on the condition that you complete all your prereqs).

Good luck!

I'm not sure what the process is at your school, but at my school, when i wasnted to get into a class that was closed, i went to talk to the professor. If you explain to him that you're a serious student, and really want to take hisclass, he might be willing to sign a green slip for you letting you in...at least that's what they're called at my school. its worth a try if it makes a big difference in your plans. but you would also be ok aking the class in the fall in AACOMAS's eyes.

Don't stress, DrZippy2b is right in that as long as your prereqs are completed before you matriculate into med school, you'll be fine. You have the added benefit that if you get accepted early, in most cases, you just have to pass with C's to hold your spot.
