Hello,

Long story short, I need to take 4 more prerequisites (2 BIO classes, Anatomy, and Physics 2). I decided to apply for dental school in my last year college and tried to catch up with all prerequisites along with my major courses.

I was going to take the rest of the prerequisites at the same university I attended after I got my bachelor's but then I had to move to a different state due to my family. I found a couple universities near me, Santa clara university (a private school, very very expensive) and san jose state university (it looks like they might not accept post-baccalaureate students) but I'm not sure I would be able to afford the tuition and to make classes with my work schedule.

My biggest concerns are dental schools have advised to avoid CC credits and I already have about 62 hours of CC credits.

Any suggestions please? I'm currently working full time and volunteering at the local library. Would it look bad on my application if I finish my prerequisites at the city college after undergrad?

Thank you in advance.

anatomy is only required for a handful of schools so if you want to make your life easier, you don't HAVE to take it. recommended of course.

Why wouldn't say Jose state accept postbacc students?

Take that at what ever school you can that is the least expensive that is not a community college. There have to be more than 2 schools near you in California.

Agree with the above post. If you want to take them at San Jose State U, sign up as a second degree undergrad student - this should be an option. Just pick whatever major, you're not getting the full degree anyway, and this way you can get loans if you need them.

i live in san jose before and beware that SJSU is very packed with its own students so taking the classes you mention there is pretty tough. idk if sjsu has human anatomy
