I went back to school to take pre-requ's as well.. So I totally understand your confusion concerning which classes to take. The way I tackled finding out per-requ's was by deciding what schools appealed to me (and where I would eventually apply). I find that UF has a great list of classes that are pretty much across the board as far as per-requisite classes. But there are so many other classes to consider that aren't on that list (I.e. anatomy, physiology, cell biology, etc.

If you are serious about returning to school and taking pre-requ classes, don't stick with the bare minimum - you are going up against applicants who have taken all of those classes and then some.

I hope this helps! Good luck!!

It really does depend on what school your going to and what they look for. All schools pretty much require the usual Bio, Chem, Organic, I&II, physics I&II, calculus for most, statistics, and some require animal nutrition. From my name obviously, I got to the Royal Dick Veterinary School in Edinburgh an they require all of these courses, but not nutrition (done in the program itself). Just give the schools your interested a call to be sure what they require and any courses that perhaps is highly recommended to take as well. Just don't do what I did and take Calculus II :scared:....hurt my GPA a bit and have never used it again since I took the course. Also, be sure you have plenty of animal experience, schools love that!!
