I am kind of overwhelmed by the breadth of prerequisites required by different schools. Mainly the fact that many schools want different combinations of microbiology, physiology, anatomy, labs, and sometimes genetics. How many of you apply without meeting all the prerequisites of the schools you are trying to get into? Mainly, what are the chances of getting into a school without having all the prereqs finished? Do many people finish their prereqs at community colleges after their bachelors, and if so, how does this factor into your GPA?

thanks

I FEEL YOU. I HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I earned my BS Bioogy before I decided 100% on pharmacy school so I had to pick schools to apply to based on if I had their pre reqs. I didn't want to have to take any more science classes since I have a ton from my BS so I picked schools that would only make me take like english comp or microeconomics that way I could do it online at a CC. It really sucks because during an interview you cant say your interested in the school because their pre reqs are most consistent with your transcript, but it's reality. Pharmcas will calculate post bachelors CC gpa right with your undergrad gpa so it can hopefully help if you get all As.

Do you have APs? I know it's a little too late, but APs helped. You could CLEP out of some classes, but make sure that the schools you're applying to accept CLEP credit.

Schools can accept you on a conditional basis. For example, a few of the schools I'm applying to require cell bio, which is a class I haven't taken. If I meet the standards for everything else at those schools, I can still get it...as long as I finish cell bio before the start of the fall 2011 semester.
