VCU, Wake ForestJust wondering, do we have a thread devoted to which schools prescreen before sending out secondaries? I want to know so I can start working on them ahead of time.
If no such thread exists, let's create it here?
so schools that have "no prescreen" means that they send secondaries to anyone who applies? i had just always assumed that there was prelim screening process every , guess i was wrong

How does Mayo screen twice?

It would appear that they do a basic numbers screen before sending you an email asking you to pay $85 so they can really screen your application.
PS. Updated earlier post, sorry!
then do you have to pay an additional fee for the secondary?
Mayo is sounding really unappealing at this point
How do secondaries for interviews work? Are they actually ranked, or just used to ask you questions?
I doubt the secondaries are "ranked", although some schools do assign you a "ranking" (a number based on voting) either before the interview, or after the interview, or both.
Secondaries often serve to paint a better picture of who you are (or at least who you want the adcom to think you are), and can help them decide who to interview and who not to interview based on more than MCAT/GPA and personal statement. Of course, some secondaries have no essays and simply ask for you money.
so does wake forest notify u if they reject u on the prescreen or do u just never get invited to do a secondary...i know vcu does email u to reject u
should we also say if they only prescreen out of state? I know University of KY doesn't prescreen in-state, I think they might oos though.
does Utah pre-screen
