I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or a format for presenting ortho patients, particularly in clinic. We don't round per se on ortho, and on trauma the presentations I see residents do are basically, "Hey boss, this lady was in a car wreck, ejected, has blah blah blah on xray and CT, we're finishing up paperwork and will be heading to the OR soon." Between this and a month on radiology, it is almost like I've forgotten how to present patients at all, but I'm having more difficulty with knowing in what framework ortho attendings expect to hear exam findings. I'm sure hearing me present a new ortho visit is like a slow trainwreck.
Any help would be awesome.
