So I am feeling really bummed out!

As some of you have read, I need to rebuild my academic record... I would gladly go back to school and do this, yet two damn private student loans don't let me!

So, I am opting to go into a Nursing Program instead, finish it and then work to pay these loans off...

If I could put these damn loans on hold or something I would go back, work on two years of excellent grades and apply to DO/MD schools...

The problem is that although some of my Stafford loans are deferred, these private ones can't be deferred..... I don't know if its because they are from Wells Fargo and Chase or whats up with this...

Imagine if I was to do my second B.S., apply to MD/DO and not get a single acceptance, then what? I would be more in debt, then how would I pay them back? So I reapply, and don't get in? Completely screwed!

=( I need a drink...

Go to school as a full time student (maybe work part time). Then apply for new federal loans. Use them to live off of, as well as to pay off the private student loans. Voila!

You can also (usually) get the payments reduced on your private loans for at least a year citing financial hardship.

You'll have to pay for the nursing program anyway, so I don't understand how you'll be doing that?

Nursing School would be at a Community college, my second major at a university...Way more expensive..

Try taking the pre-med courses at the community college then. It is better than giving up for a nursing degree. And if it doesn't work out, you could get a PA degree.
