Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has gone to any preview days at med schools? Or any programs for undergrads to come and check out their schools. I had gone to a Dental School Stimulation when I wanted to pursue dentistry at U of P and it was a lot of fun. Hoping to find something like that at medical schools just to show interest? Open to checking out any med or DO schools!

Thanks!

A couple med-schools in my area have seminar days where you can go attend a lecture relevant for pre-meds, meet current students, and tour parts of the school, but I'm guessing it really depends on your area. You could call some schools around your area and see what opportunities there are.

These do not exist for med schools. Nobody hosts these things so you can go to "show interest." You show interest by applying to the school. The only thing close to this are revisit days after acceptance.

Many med schools have summer programs on campus for college students but do not think attending one of them increases your chances at that school. It does not

Yea most med schools don't really do this. I guess it's an effect of the whole "sellers market" system where there are hundreds of applicants appling for each individual seat

LECOM does an "open house" in November. At Erie, Bradenton, and Seton Hill locations. And yes. I double checked, it is the medical school
