Wow I'm in the exact same boat lol. I asked my advisor about this.

For schools that your MCAT is competitive for, they usually will push you application forward without waiting for the 2nd MCAT score. For schools where your MCAT is a bit on the lower end, they will generally still send secondaries if the rest of your application is good/ not-screened. However, they will probably wait for it before an interview offer. For schools where your MCAT is below 10%, they will probably wait for the score, if not, they may just straight up reject you XD

Of course, this varies from school to school, but I thought it was helpful.

Good luck June 21st =)

Good luck to you as well! 🙂

OK, that sounds very reasonable. So it seems like I might get rejected from reach schools I apply to if I don't have my new MCAT score. I don't want to get rejected without them having considered my new score. However, adding them in late July (provided my new score is in range) seems like it would be a huge delay. Should I just risk it and add in all my reaches right away?

Adding the new schools in late July would not be late. You would still be quite early and schools usually send you secondaries within hours/days. There is no big delay. If you're worried about being screened out, you can absolutely add these schools later.

Any opinions on this?

If you get your scores back early august, it should be fine (especially if you prewrite secondaries while waiting for your score). Probably no big difference from a june 21st MCAT.
