Hey guys. I've already taken the old MCAT and not studying for the new one, but I have a friend who does not have an account on SDN who this question pertains to.

He wanted to score higher than his practice test score on the Princeton Demo Test. He wants to know if these Princeton Review tests are supposed to be this hard?

He scored a 508, but wants to get in the 512-513 range he says.

If he's not scoring at least 520 on the Princeton Reviews; then God help him.

So ya, your friend is probably done for, poor fellow.

I'm assuming you are being sarcastic. Can you please give me a real answer?

Ha, well I would say your friend is fine with a 508 on TPR demo.
I honestly didn't think it was harder than the other TPR's I've done thus far, but I wouldn't say it was substantially easier -- in my opinion they are all the same magnitude of difficulty. Seems to be a consensus that TPR/Kaplan are harder than the real thing, and I would tend to agree from my limited experience.

I see. Would you say TPR is harder than Kaplan or vice versa? Or are they about the same?

I have only taken 2 each of Kaplan and TPR; but my score average is 513 Kaplan :: 513.5 TPR. So, thus far I believe the tests to be of the same difficulty.
