Prior Position at the VA a Limitation?

Anyone with a view as to how working at a "typically busy" VA will limit one's ability to join a private practice down the road care to weigh in on this question? Granted, there is no peds/OB at any VA I can think of, but there are plenty of people who take positions at surgical centers caring for adults in same-day situations, etc.

Not that big of a deal. Peds will be an issue but it is small IMO.
