I know IBR is not available for private loans right? So, is there any solution out there in managing huge private loan payments...aside from payment interest only until you're officially done with residency? Thx.

Call the bank/lender and discuss alternative payment plans with them if you have trouble paying. Since they have their own rules about paying back loans, you might catch a break.
