This is for people in Private Practice. I have been in practice for a few months now and really having difficult time with billers. I have tried an in-house biller as well as using a billing company working on a percentage of collections but collection rate remains poor.

Can someone please suggest something which works for them?

Thanks in Advance

I'd think the first step would be to figure out why insurances aren't paying - miscoding (the biller's fault) or inadequate documentation (your fault).

The problem is that the Biller is not going after denials or deductibles as its more of an effort.

I am religiously collecting the co-pays but every one seems to have a high deductible now and it is getting more difficult to collect from the patient unless you send it collections.

You can go cash only but in this economy It would be a struggle as people have tightened the spending.
