Hey Everyone!
I will have to pay back my private student loans next month. I would like to consolidate them. Anybody know of a company that will take me me in. I owe as around 230K, enough for a small house! I have searched the web, and came up with nothing!
Any advice will be much appreciated!!
Thx!!

How much of the 230k is private and federal loans? Have you started working yet?

how much do you have in federal loans then?

Based on the fact that the OP has said it is 100% private and that the OP's name leads me to believe that he or she is an international student, I am going with 0% federal (as some international students are ineligible for federal loans).👍

If I owe that much in private student loans and I am not an American citizen, I would seriously consider moving out of the U.S.

You are basically trading in your prime years just to pay back your student loans. No house, no children, no life.

What school did you go to that you ended up owing that much upon graduation?

Most international students have 0 debt after graduation. Parents must show sufficient funds to study in USA before a visa is being issued. International student is not eligible for student loans unless there is a poor sod co-signer who wants to get shackled with 200k debt. Which citizen wants to do this? A few, I can only think a spouse maybe... Then again, if one has a US citizen spouse, she/he would have gotten the green card and can apply for student loan him/herself.

The same school you go to. Why does this matter?

google "private student loan consolidation".

If you have good credit, you might be able to get an interest rate around 4% variable. Be careful because the interest rate will go up when the economy recovers.

If you borrow more than $200,000 in student loans for pharmacy school, you are in serious trouble.

Pharmacists do not make $400,000 a year like some physicians. 90% of the pharmacists make $100,000-130,000 a year so you are borrowing > $200,000 to make $110,000 a year before taxes? You are going to bring home $65,000 after taxes (include state income taxes).

This may not sound great for you and I but for many pharmacy techs, it is a lot better than being a tech. Many techs with subpar GPA and PCAT scores are applying and actually getting accepted to pharmacy schools especially to the for-profit pharmacy schools. It used to mean something to get accepted to a pharmacy school. Not anymore. Here's one:

What's going to happen when all of these techs become pharmacists? What's going to happen to a pharmacist salary? Do you really think CVS or Walgreens really care what pharmacy school you graduated from?
