I've already received interviews at a couple of programs. There are other programs in the geographical area that I am interested in, but I have not heard from them yet. Should I send a nice email expressing interest in visiting their program? Is that even allowed under ERAS rules? 😕

i wouldnt send an email, but i would possibly call to see if they have sent out interview invites, and if so, are you being considered.

Definitely call them and DEFINITELY tell them you are interested in their program. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain (not to mention it will at worst get your application brought up for review). Chances are this early that not applications have been looked at yet...

It worked. I got interview at one program, and the other will be in touch after their committee meets next week. 😀

Anyone who uses the word "proactive" (or "paradigm") should be sent back to 3rd year medical school, and a whole year of OB rotations, where you can learn to take yourself less seriously.
