What is the probability of getting a clincal job with the VA, DoD, IHS, etc. when one has inpatient and outpatient clinical experience, but no residency or certification? How much do the latter add? The job postings don't require these, but they don't seem to call back, vs. staffing jobs, both inpatient and outpatient.
Is it wise to get a staffing job with the gov with the hopes of transfering to clinical, or is it better to build clinical experience?
