Can someone please explain probability? I saw a formula (in topscore) (nCr)(p^r)(Qn-r)...do most all of you use this to equate certain problems or is there a more concise formula? it was used on question regarding the probability of (using one dice) throwing 2 fours in 5 attempts. thanks!

anyone have a clue about this?

yea ...look up the binomial probability formula...topscore didnt explain it very clearly.

is it not something you can just think through? Seems like 2 4s in 5 rolls would be 2 fours in a total of 30 possible numbers right? 1/15 chance that will happen
