what is the probability of rolling two dices with both landing on an even number?
I use achiever, which says the answer is 1/4.

but if you count the number of pairs:
2,4
4,2
2,6
6,2
4,6
6,4
you get six possibilities, so 6 out of 36 or 1/6.

can anyone tell me why achiever is right?

you forgot 2,2. 4,4. 6,6.

that's 9/36 = 1/4

probably easier doing:
P(Even) X P(Even)
1/2 X 1/2
= 1/4
