Hello fellow pharms and prepharms,

So I asked two science professors for letter of recs and they both agreed. One already submitted it to pharmcas, however, the other has not and hasn't been responding to my e-mails. She's on sabbatical in Germany this summer but she agreed to write one for me when I asked her at the end of the quarter. I was planning to submit my app August 1st but it doesn't look like I'll get my 2nd rec by then. So my question is, should I wait it out a another week or two to see if she'll submit it? Keep in mind that I don't even know if she's going to submit it anyways..

Second question, should I thank my other letter writer now or when I get my results?

I wouldn't know about waiting another week or two especially if you want to apply to an early decision program. If you want to get it in early, I would ask another professor you may know personally. It's better to be safe than sorry so act early.

Definitely thank your other professor now for the letter. He/She was very punctual and did you the favor period. Thank him/her regardless of the result as soon as possible IMO. 🙂
