problem 23 and 71 in destroyer

These two problems are similar, however, their explanations have a little discrepancy. Problem 23 states that K, Li, Br, etc. are spectator ions and form a neutral solution, however, this isn't the case in problem 71. Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks!
 
First read the explained answer to number 71.
In 23 your looking for the compound that will give the acidic solution. Try looking for something that can donate an H+, making it acidic.
In 71, look at explained and use that method in future. Look at how each compound came about and you'll see which is strong acid and strong bases. If both are strong its neutral. If one is strong then you know if it will be acid r basic.

Could you post the entire question i do not remember the entire destroyer by heart verbatim, lol i may know every answer by heart but i need the actual question to help here. Im at work now and dont have a destroyer handy.

For question #23, it states that K and Br are both spectators, so the salt is neutral. We are also told to first remove spectator ions such as K, Li, Na, Cl, Br and NO3. I think what Pentako is asking is how come the Li, Na, and K etc. aren't spectator ions (thus producing a neutral salt) in question 71. I hope you can work your magic klutzy. 👍
 
I'm taking my DAT tomorrow so I'm trying to make sure I understand every detail!!!
 
Ok when you put a salt in water and it dissociates and forms a strong acid it is an acidic salt. For examlpe if you put Al(ClO4)3 into water it will form HClO4 and AlOH. The HClO4 is a very strong acid so therefore Al(ClO4)3 is an acidic salt. If you put NaF in water it will form NaOH and HF. NaOH is a very strong base so therefore the salt is a basic salt. A salt that yields on hydrolysis a strong acid and a strong base will be a neutral salt. I think this explains it fairly well any ?'s ask.
