Problem with Gary armitage perio article?

It's not clinically friendly to dx using Armitage's method. It's just so large and complex. Kind of like tooth prognosis using Becker vs. Maguire.
 
In addition to its length and not being user friendly, there are areas that aren't covered - like peri-implant diseases - and areas that are clinical observations than diagnoses - like excessive gingival display or abnormal color. Many of my faculty don't like the classification, but we still have to use it for the oral portion of the boards.
