Problem with job as personal medical assistant?

I was asked by family friends if I wanted to help a member of their family administer their treatment (they require injections and are unable to do it). I have no experience giving injections or assisting patients directly, but one of the family friends (a doctor) said he would train me. I'm getting an "ethically questionable" vibe from this. Has anyone heard of someone doing this? Would even be it be OK to talk about this on a medical app? Thanks for any help!

When getting discharge from the hospital, usually the nurses would train the caretaker to provide simple things like dressing changes or injections. In my case, family friends (usually church friends) are welcome to learn as sometimes they are the main caregiver. Are you uncomfortable with the thought of giving the injections because you're not trained to do so?

Then you'll be fine. You don't have any malicious intent or pretending to be licensed health care worker. It'll be a nice thing to do for your family friend.
