For those of you whose universities have their own transcript request form how did you order your transcripts to be sent to AMCAS? Did you just send your school the AMCAS form? Or did you send the AMCAS form and then fill out your school's form?

I go to the University of Texas at Austin if anyone is having the same problem. I need to send transcripts from Houston Community college also. How did you guys go about doing this?

Thanks in advance for your help

You're out of the country now, ya? Either way, you can fax or mail the AMCAS form to UT along with a letter outlining your request. You pay through check (mail) or credit card (fax) I'm abroad and faxed my request.

see: http://www.utexas.edu/student/registrar/transcripts/

My other school has its own request form, so I faxed it with a note in the "special instructions" section to include the AMCAS form, which I also faxed.

Just did this 2 days ago, so I don't know the results yet, but I have no reason to believe there will be any problems.

PM if you want more details.

I'm from TX.... What I did is that for U of H, we log into our student account online and do a transcript request. It will have numerous recipients you can select to receive the transcript, if it doesn't you can type who it is going to. At HCC, you will have to go and request a transcript and it would be better if you mailed it yourself instead of having them mail it b/c my experience with them is that their transcrips they mail tend to get lost in the mail. Mail it yourself to AMCAS. I hope this helps, I haven't gone through the app process yet so I don't know if there are any specific details regarding transcripts you have to do.. but I hope this helps

You don't need to send the form to UT Austin. I walked in to the Registrar's Office with the form, and they told me that they are one of the few schools that sends transcripts to AMCAS electronically, so no form is necessary.

AMCAS received my transcript from UT just fine, so I guess the Registrar lady was telling me the truth.
