Anyone else having problems accessing the self counseling on the DPS website (move.mil)? I can log in fine, and get the ETA portal but when I click on the DPS application on the left toolbar, it opens a new window but always times out.

I'm using IE, deleted all cookies/temp files, turned off pop up blocker, and contacted their help desk. Although responsive, I still haven't been able to get an answer from them how I can login and do my pre-move self counseling.

Somewhere on the site (right hand column of main page maybe?) there was some security thing I had to download to make it work. Not sure if this was where I ran into the problems too. I think it had a link with something like "having problems blah blah".

That website simply put...SUCKS! I had to try on probably 3 different computers before it finally worked.

At least for the Navy smartwebmove was 10x's better.

tips to make it work:
-use Internet explorer
-delete all cookies/temp internet files

if it still doesn't work, then you may get it to work by downloading the root certificate. see below
---
Please attempt to or have your local IT attempt to install the certificates from the following link:

http://telework.dcma.mil/InstallRoot/InstallRoot_v3_13.exe

If the above link does not work, attempt to first visit the following link and then select "InstallRoot_v3_13.exe ":

http://telework.dcma.mil/installroot.cfm

Installation Instructions:

1. Click on the link above and click "Save".
2. Click on “Desktop” on the left and then click “Save”.
3. After the file is downloaded, minimize all open windows so you can see your desktop. Locate the saved file “InstallRoot_v3_13” and double-click it to open the file.
4. A security warning box will appear on your screen. Click “Run” to start the installation.
5. You should see a black command prompt window appear for a few seconds and then disappear. This means it is installing the certificates on your computer and normally only takes a few seconds.
6. If you see the message, "Type the return key to terminate", the install is complete. Hit Enter or Return to close the DOS window.
7. You may need to clear your Internet Explorer cache and reboot your computer before reattempting to log back into ETA. If you have any further questions or problems please let us know.
