I just submitted my TMDSAS application but after reading various threads, I'm worried that I messed up on the Letter of recs portion.
The TMDSAS site states:
Evaluators should know an applicant well enough to evaluate him/her both academically and personally. It is recommended that your evaluators be current/former professors that can speak to your academic ability in the sciences.
Based on what I can tell, I needed to have professors write out most of the letters but this year, I only had physicians give me letters (all 3). I had been away from college from some time and did not maintain any relationships from my past professors so I assumed that asking for a letter would seem odd. Furthermore, I thought that letters from physicians would be a major improvement.
I have applied twice in the past, with those applications carrying letters of recs from only professors. Will this help?
Edit: To add, I work regularly with all the physicians that have written me the letters so I know for sure that they can evaluate me at the personal level. I'm just worried I may have screwed myself over by not demonstrating the academic portion.
