Actually Cole, I'd recommend skipping the Caribbean and going straight to consuming massive amounts of Cracker Jacks. That's the only place they're handing out MD licenses these days.my brothers cousins friends ex girlfriend thinks DOs arent real doctors???? should I go carib instead? I am worried about how people in society perceive me. I want my ferrari (the one I get from practicing at least 2 years of course) to be noticed by the community as I stroll into my brain surgery clnic (DOs can specialize right?). also would like have to my own TV show called dr. smalls where I make up random facts and tell people they're super legit. will being a DO affect my ability to do these things? (also want lots of women, im worried women only go for MDs not DOs this true ladies????).
thanks for ur help gais
This.yeah, do school = bad idea.
you're going to be a permanent outcast, walking around the hospital with your head bowed down and eyes averted in shame.
the county morgue doesn't even want you as a pathologist.
elsewhere you will live in constant fear that the end-stage comatose patient in room 109 might one day discover your real medical degree and scream in horror.
your nights will be filled with envy that the dude from ross gets to call himself an md and tell all his neighbors he's an md, and you can't.
your minimum wage salary will go to buying duct tape to cover up the initials that you despise so much.
surely the do degree shall follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in the house of poverty and misery for ever.
get out now while you can.
you're killing me Smalls
You know most DOs end up like this, right?

dude, that guy's got some skills. Six dishes at once. If i were an adcom, i'd admit him on the spot!
I was carefully going down the thread to make sure no one had already said this.
(Since Smalls edited his original post, I can only guess this was a DO vs. Carib thread.
lol he was quoted in comment #2 😛
I recently read an article that stated DO's aren't as proficient in golf as their MD counterparts.
I really want to be a good golfer so I'm deterred from going DO.
Thoughts?
i think MD is great because they have OMM
Yes butt, thay always want too push pills on there patients and I just fill like thats wrong, amirite?
Plus there bedside maner is just terible.
i think you're referring to naturopathic

I hear you really have to rock USMLE once you are a DC in order to specialize in podiatry......even then the competition is unreal and research with publications are a must. Anything lower than 35 mcat? Dont even try.
Good luck getting any respect from the general public.

have you been in a car wreck, and now your feet really hurt? I got ya covered...HalfListic DC, DPM

This is true...such a temptation. I hear RVU has a new DO, DDS 5 year program, you should check it out.
Or just go to Nova. Then you'll get your DO and your DMD. 😉
i'll give u free teeth cleanings, including floss, but you'll have to pay for the tooth brush😀
Lay off the N2O MedPR 😉
