Processing Fees for Away Rotation

I'm doing an away next month. To my knowledge, I have not yet paid my "processing fee" of fifty dollars to the institution. I do not see any description of how to pay this on the away site on VSAS. Also, the coordinator is not responding to my emails or phone calls.

How do you pay this? It says to pay upon acceptance. I'd hate to drive 800 miles to be told that I wasted my time and month-long sublet because I didn't pay a stupid processing fee.

Call the general office and see what their policy is? Some rotations make you pay on the first day instead of months before. I'd call and just ask; as for the not responding, bunch of people are on vacation these days so that could be it.

I have been calling the general office, but have been specifically asking for the person listed on the VSAS contact page. I know they're around, but have been busy with meetings and such. I realize this is the most time demanding time of year for people that coordinate such rotations, so maybe I'll just ask whoever picks up the phone next time.
