Hello,
I am a pre-medical freshman student. I just completed my first semester with worse grades than I would have liked, but I believe I can bring them up as long as I get higher grades.
I am concerned though because I have a problem with procrastination. This leads to me wasting time and not putting enough hours in studying. I would love to break this habit ASAP so I can perform better in my classes next semester.
Have any of you had problems with procrastination? Do you have any tips on how to break this habit?
Also I would really appreciate if anyone could provide any study tips that particularly helped them.
Thank you!!

Badly. Electronics are a huge culprit. Put your phone and computer away to start. Study at the library or anywhere but your dorm/apt/where you sleep.

Check out apps that let you block social media and other productivity suckers for periods of time. (recommended my numerous med students)

Keep a calendar with times blocked out for activities (including studying, lab, reading) that are important to you and make the time you dedicate to your most important activities sacrosanct. (learned this from a Dean)

Collaborate with someone who has similar goals. Having an appointment to work together will keep you on schedule whereas on your own you might drop the activity or quit early. (Having an buddy gets me into my early morning exercise routine.)
