Program Info anyone?

Hi Global Disrobal,
I interviewed at the U of A, St. Joes, Baylor-Houston, UTSW, San ANT, and UNM. I loved the U of A, UTSW, and Baylor the best. I thought the faculty and residents were awesome. The residents seemed very happy with their training. Where have you interviewed in those states? Probably the same places?? I feel that at any one of those programs, you would get excellent training. There are lots of opportunities to do research with faculty members and I also got the feeling that (I know this is definetly true at the U of A) the attendings spend quality time signing out cases with the residents-very important!!

Thanks for the info Coldstone, I really appreciate the insight.
I have yet to enter the match. I am finishing 3rd year as we speak,and did a PSF last year. I am looking at UA,St. Joes, UNM, Baylor, Scott&White (sort of), and UTSA. Looks like we may end up at the same program. I'm don't have research on mind, but I am weary of St. Joe's dept. size.
Overall, I have visited all the programs (mentioned above) and talked to residents and I have to say UNM and UA have impressed me so far. Galveston's program might be good, but the town is something else.
Anyhow, good luck w/the match and let me know how all goes!
