Program Ranking Meetings

Hi,
I was wondering, when programs have their ranking meetings, do they download the most current ERAS application? Suppose one was waiting for a score or a re-take exam and retransmits it after the interview, will the programs have the most current scores in front of them when it comes time to ranking?

I failed my COMLEX 2 PE/CS exam but then re-took it and retransmitted the score. I tried to inform almost all of the programs I interviewed at and a number of them reassured me that they download the applications again before ranking.. But still had disappointment come match week.

I am just curious and hopefully this thread helps someone next match cycle.

If the score is back, the program has it. At every place I've been, the program coordinator has checked daily for updates. I'm sorry about how Match Week turned out for you. It was likely that having a failure in the first place was an issue- a new score would be unlikely to give you a bump in rank over people who hadn't failed any steps. While the reasons for PE/CS exam failures can be harder to pin down, the label of "academic risk" is hard for an applicant to escape.

Thanks I wish they would not have invited me if they knew my scores would preclude me from being ranked.

How do you know that they didn't rank you?

Your right I don't but I am sure I wasn't ranked high at a lot of places
