I posted about Umass in another thread, I think the one about interviews and BIDMC. Not only does UMass have an incredible flight program, but their residents are required to fly. The program up there is extremely pro-EMS, well rounded, and filled with the necessary smattering of blunt trauma and high acuity cases. The residents seem genuinely happy and most of the attendings love to teach. The physical plant is a bit outdated, but the new lakeside pavilion is scheduled for completion sometime in 2006? Feel free to PM me for more info. The medical student rotation coordinator up there is a real trip.
