LSU family practice in Kenner is one program that applicants need to ask some hard questions. LSUFP- Kenner lost two of its premier faculties over the past two years after the storm. Questions need to be directed to residents over medical education (case numbers, clinic stats, OB numbers, OB locations), team morale. One question an applicant has to ask residents in private is their confidence in their faculties’ medical knowledge, teaching skills, communications skills. Are there any residents who have left the program and if so for what reasons. My take on this program is that it has very poor cost/benefit yield.
