Programs Deadlines (esp. UCs)

I know that the deadlines for the UCs (LA and Berkeley) is Dec. 1 - does this mean I should be submitting my SOPHAS application well before then? I only ask because my letters of recommendation may not be in until Thanksgiving and I'm taking the GRE Nov.21 (better late than never!).

It depends on the school. Last year when I applied some schools wanted the application on the date they stated, others said it was fine if it was completed at SOPAS.

I submitted my application around Dec 12th last year and it took about 3-4 weeks for SOPAS to finish everything, and another week to send out.

SOPHAS suggests you submit it 6 weeks prior to the deadline to allow for processing time. That being said, you can submit it without your recommendations being complete.

Well, I'm in the same situation(maybe worse) as futureepi.I just saw the deadline for UC berkeley and other schools last night, and now I'm getting tense about it all.
I am waiting for the references, and have yet to take the GRE too 🙁
and to top all that, I'm waiting for the evaluation service to get my creds evaluated(international grad)
I'm new to the game(like to call it that)...
